The Learning Model

A) Prepare
Get immersed in the context of the upcoming session by familiarizing yourself with the reading material and case studies shared with you before the class. Group and individual study hours before the class will ensure your active participation in the learning process. Recommended time: 2 to 4 hours per week

C) Reflect
Learning diaries and self-reflection after the class ensures that you internalize the concepts learnt, consolidate your knowledge and begin figuring out ways on how to put the relevant knowledge into practice. Recommended time: 1 hour post class

B) Learn
With some of the top faculty from the institute as your facilitators, get ready for an intense and immersive learning experience as the groups discuss and analyze the case of the day from all possible angles. In this process, the cohort brings in its rich professional experience to the class and raises the overall learning experience for everyone. Time: 3 hours per week

D) Apply
The six-month weekend programme gives you ample opportunity to apply the management principles to your workplace in real time. Participants are encouraged to actively apply learnings in their workplace and share with the group and faculty during subsequent sessions.

Participant Profile

The GMP is for managers seeking to re-vitalize their careers. It is most appropriate for managers holding positions of responsibility within functional departments of medium to large businesses. The participants should have at least 5 years of managerial experience after graduation. As the programme makes exceptional intellectual & emotional demands, participants should have an inquiring mind and capacity to think clearly. They must also have a high degree of adaptability and maturity to work and interact closely with other participants under considerable pressure.

Pedagogy

A mix of pedagogical tools will be used including cases, lectures, discussions, presentations, audio-visuals, and experiential exercises. Preparation for the class requires doing intensive reading of course material. For effective learning participants should budget approximately 15 hours of reading time in-between sessions. Informal group discussions amongst participants are recommended.

Certificate of Completion

A certificate of Completion will be issued by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) to the participants who have completed all the requirements of the programme including attendance of at least 80% of the direct class room contacts and submission of all assignments.

    Prof. Errol D’Souza’s current academic interests include tax reforms and fiscal/monetary policy, the structure of corporate finance, social security and livelihood issues in the informal sector, personnel economics and governance issues. He is a consultant to industry, the banking sector, UNDP, ILO, and Government. Former Director on the board of the National Housing Bank, he is currently on the Board of Governors of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, the Rajasthan Shram Sarathi Association, and the India Gold Policy Centre.

    Prof. Kirti Sharda’s primary teaching interests lie in the areas of leadership, interpersonal and group dynamics, self-awareness in organisations, psychology, and entrepreneurship. Her current research is centred on diversity and inclusion in organizations and organizational neuroscience. She has developed teaching cases around issues related to team effectiveness, employee motivation, talent management, and entrepreneurial orientation.

    Prof. Biju Varkkey is currently teaches human resource management in the graduate, executive development and doctoral programs. Alumni Association

Participants who attend the Executive Education Programmes for the first time, on or after April 1, 2012, will have to attend a total of 21 days in one or more programmes to be eligible for alumni status and alumni identity card, both of which will be awarded on payment of one-time alumni fee of AED 500.

Programme Details

  • Dates: Programme will start on September 17 and 18, 2021. Thereafter, online classes will be scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays for a maximum of 3 hours per day, on consecutive weekends. The total duration of the programme will be 6 months.
  • Timings: Face to face sessions 9:30 AM to 6 PM Gulf time, Online Sessions: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM Gulf time
    • First module of 3 days delivered face to face in Dubai and last module of 3 days delivered on campus
    • All other sessions delivered direct to desktops on consecutive weekends
  • Venue: Face to face sessions delivered in Dubai, live online sessions delivered direct to desktops

Programme Fee

Fee includes tuition fee, course material, food, refreshments and certificate. Local travel, toll or parking tickets are not included in the fee. Applicable taxes (5% VAT) extra.

  • Full payment: AED 34,000 (Receipt of the payment no later than September 03, 2021)
  • Installments: AED 35,700 (PDCs need to submitted at the time of the first payment)
    • Installment 01: AED 14,280 (Receipt of the payment no later than September 03, 2021)
    • Installment 02: AED 10,710 (Receipt of the payment no later than November 19, 2021)
    • Installment 03: AED 10,710 (Receipt of the payment no later than January 21, 2022)

Discounts

  • 1st Early Bird Discount: Nominations received with payments on or before June 25, 2021 will be entitled to an early bird discount of 8.5%. (Early submission does not, however, guarantee acceptance of application.)
  • 2nd Early Bird Discount: Nominations received with payments on or before August 13, 2021 will be entitled to an early bird discount of 6%. (Early submission does not, however, guarantee acceptance of application.)
  • Group Discount: Group of 4 of more participants will be entitled to a discount of 10%.
  • Organisations can avail themselves of both the discounts subject to a maximum overall discount of 10%.

Terms

  • After payment of the fee, in case the participant wishes to drop out of the programme, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme
  • In case a participant cannot attend the programme after the payment of programme fee, the same amount will be valid as a credit amount for utilization for the next two years, after which the fee will lapse. The organization/individual can nominate the same participant or another participant for the same programme or any other programme accordingly for the next two years, failing which the amount will lapse
  • If a nomination is not accepted, the fee will be refunded to the person/organization concerned
  • In all other cases, fee is non-refundable
  • All payments will be accepted in Emirati Dirham (AED)
  • Additional charges may be applicable while paying using credit card / debit card or online banking services
  • Please ensure that you are not exceeding your online transaction limit set by your bank or credit/debit card issuing agency
  • After payment, please note down the order ID / transaction number for future reference
  • A VAT invoice from IIMA Executive Education, Dubai will be shared after receiving a payment from the participant
